Extend the life of your cast iron
Let’s face it, outdoor gear can carry a hefty price tag! After diligently investing your hard-earned money into assembling the perfect adventure kit, you undoubtedly want that gear to stand the test of time.
Quality outdoor equipment isn’t just a purchase; it’s an investment in your outdoor experiences. Whether it’s a rugged backpack that accompanies you on scenic trips into the Sawtooth Wilderness, durable hiking boots that carry you across Idaho’s varied terrain, or a hundred-year-old skillet you use to fry up those freshly-caught trout, these pieces contribute to the memories you make on your outdoor pursuits.
We understand the value of longevity when it comes to outdoor gear. That’s why we thought we’d spend a little time discussing, and illustrating, how easy it is to extend the life of one of our go-to-pieces of outdoor gear: the cast iron skillet.
If the old adage, “food always tastes better in the mountains” is true, food cooked in a well-seasoned cast iron skillet tastes even better. A good cast iron skillet can become a trusted companion, capable of enduring the rigors of your outdoor adventures for years to come.
